Amenities Our building has many private rooms in addition to our semiprivate accommodations. All resident rooms are wired for telephone service and cable TV. We have a beauty/barber shop for your convenience, as well as a library area in our dining room. Outside, we have two landscaped courtyards—one for the exclusive use of the residents in our Alzheimer’s unit—that offer you some lovely, private spaces where you can take a stroll or sit and talk while you enjoy some fresh air. Or you can watch the deer and other wildlife that share our beautiful property.

Activities Staying active and involved is an important part of everyone’s health and well-being. Our seven-day-a-week activities calendar will provide you with a variety of recreational activities to help keep you mentally, physically, and spiritually active—no matter what your level of mobility is.
Our schedule of activities includes gentle exercise classes, games, music, crafts, discussion groups, religious services, pet therapy, and more—all designed to keep you vibrant, energetic, and on the go. We also have a monthly men’s group and a number of activities specially designed for our younger residents. And if you have a hobby you love, you can bring that along with you. We also provide opportunities for you to stay involved in the community. If you’re able and interested, you can join your fellow residents on shopping expeditions and other local outings, like our annual trips to The Big E and the Bright Nights Christmas lights display in Forest Park.
Certification/Accreditation East Longmeadow is certified by both Medicare and Medicaid. We’re also accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), a nationally recognized, independent organization that sets standards of excellence for nursing homes and other healthcare facilities. In addition, we are proud to have signed the profession-wide Quality First pledge, which further reflects our commitment to quality, ethical care and resident safety.
